D.A.Y- L.A
Yates is inspired by the empty city, ripped billboards and cracked sidewalks of an urban landscape. The raw excitement of textures and patterns fills the aesthetic of her work. She embraces materials like resin, paper, printing and textiles. Her artwork can be described as a "great time." She uses her imagination and talent by creating immersive realities for photoshoots and commercial projects. Yates has been featured in periodicals like Juxtapose, Installation Magazine, OMG Posters and Voyage LA.
She created her signature mixed media esthetic by utilizing different nostalgic tools like spirographs. After receiving “Best in Show” her graduating year, her work has been featured in multiple galleries and art fairs including Think Space Projects, Corey Helford Gallery, La Luz De Jesus, Gabba Gallery, Gallery 1988 and SCOPE for Art Basel Miami. Yates had her first solo exhibition at the Stone Malone Gallery.
